This course explores the reasons individuals engage in criminal behaviour, the ways societies identify and label deviant actions, and how the criminal justice system addresses these issues. You will develop skills in examining real-world cases, assessing and interpreting evidence, and understanding how media coverage and public advocacy influence the development of laws and policies.
The WJEC Level 3 Applied Diploma in Criminology is assessed using a combination of internal and external assessment. Two units are coursework and two are examined.
