Uniform Policy
Please note: from September 2026, all schools are required to have a uniform that consists of a maximum of three items with the school logo. For QPCS, we have selected:
- V-Neck Jumper or Fleece (you do not need to buy both)
- Red Polo Shirt (available in short of long sleeve)
- PE top
These items must have the QPCS logo. They can be purchased from Ace Clothing, or as second-hand uniform.
All other items of uniform, as listed in our Uniform Policy, may be purchased from Ace Clothing or any other retailer providing they adhere to the school’s specified colour and style.
Ace Clothing sell additional QPCS-branded items, such as coats and PE shorts. You are welcome to purchase these, but please note they are optional.
All clothing should be clearly named.
Pre-owned uniform
If you would like to purchase an item(s) of pre-owned uniform, QPCS PTFA has a stall at the annual Summer Festival. Watch this space for news of their pre-owned uniform store.
Meanwhile the school stores pre-owned uniform items - please contact the Pastoral Support Officer for your child's year group with item and size requirements to check availability.
Please donate any unwanted uniform, in good condition, to school Reception. Thank you.
Equipment List
It is essential that students have a strong bag. It should be big enough to carry their books and all the equipment needed for the school day.
Every student needs the following essential equipment:
- Black Pens
- Green Pen
- HB Pencil for writing
- 30cm Ruler
- Eraser
- Pencil Sharpener
- Glue Stick
- Sellotape
- Dry Wipe Pen
- Colouring Pencils and/or Water-Based Felt Tip Pens
- Scientific Calculator
- Small (< 13cm) Safety Scissors (round ended)
- Protractor
- Compass
- Transparent Pencil Case
- Dictionary
- Reading Book
Additional equipment required for Art lessons:
- 12 Colour Watercolour Set
- 2B/4B Pencil
- Paint brush (size 6-10 with a point)
- Oil Pastels x 12
KS3 students will also need:

Wired Headphones with 3.5mm standard jack for computer science (No AirPods or headphones that use bluetooth as these cannot be used on our computers)
Exam Equipment
For formal exams, students are expected to use a BLACK pen. Equipment should be brought to the exam hall in either a transparent pencil case or a polythene bag. Students are not allowed to ‘borrow’ equipment and the invigilators will not provide missing items during the exams.
