24% of GCSE grades were at G9-7, with 70% at G9-4. There will not be official data on their progress as this year group did not sit SATs in Year 6, but we know they have worked hard and made excellent progress.
Congratulations to AR who achieved ten G9 grades! AR is progressing on to QPCS Sixth Form for A Levels in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry.
WA (ten G9 and G8 grades) and SS (nine G9 and G8 grades) have also chosen A Levels in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry at QPCS Sixth Form.
Other high attaining students are taking their maths in different directions, with AM combining maths and further maths with economics and psychology, and EL choosing maths, further maths, biology and chemistry.
Students also excelled in arts, humanities and creative subjects and have chosen a range of exciting subjects at QPCS and beyond. EK has chosen English Literature, French and Philosophy at QPCS Sixth Form. NA has chosen sociology, history and English Literature at A Level. After delighting audiences in the QPCS production since Year 7, DP leaves us to join the BRIT school. FA has left QPCS to study with a football academy, as he develops his career in professional football. NR has chosen to study A Level art, with Spanish, politics and philosophy.
Headteacher Ms Enright said:
“I am delighted for our Year 11 students, who have achieved so much in their GCSEs. This is thanks to their hard work and living our values of responsibility, respect and resilience. These are exciting times for our Sixth Form, with a redesign of study and shared spaces, thanks to our PTFA, so we are especially excited to welcome our Year 12 in September."
