Interested in becoming a Governor?
The Governing Board at Queens Park Community School Academy Trust (QPCSAT) actively seeks candidates from across the diverse community that makes up QPCS.
Parents from different ethnic communities are encouraged to apply as this is an area where the Governing Board is under-represented.
You do not need to be an expert in education to be a governor. It is about being supportive and challenging to the school, asking the questions that need to be asked. Qualifications are not as important as having a real interest and commitment to making a difference to QPCS.
If you do choose to become a governor, you will be provided with all the training that you need, which can be completed over a period of time and at a time that suits you.
There is obviously a commitment involved with being a governor and you will be expected to attend meetings (including one or more committee meetings). The full governing board sits twice each term and the main committees sit once. You will also be encouraged to visit the school (as link governor) and attend other events.
Parents and staff can put themselves forward for election. Anybody can ask to be considered for the positions of community or partnership governors.
To be considered or to find out more, please contact the school office or email: governors@qpcs.brent.sch.uk
