Welcome to the PTFA
On behalf of the PTFA Committee, I would like to wish you a very warm welcome and invite you to join us at our next PTFA meeting.
PTFA meetings are held monthly, in the sixth form common room at 7pm. The meetings are not just about making decisions; they are also the perfect way to meet other parents.
All staff, parents and friends of students at QPCS are automatically members of one of the most dynamic and active PTFAs in the area.
Attending meetings is not the only way to be part of this fantastic committee, for example, you could offer to help out for an hour or two at one of our fundraisers.
We have 3 major events a year; Quiz Night; Summer Carnival; and Evening of fun Bingo. We have a presence at Queens Park Day selling cakes and at all school social evenings selling drinks. All of these are also a great way to catch up with parents you may not have seen in a while. We are supported by QPARA and Winkworth Estate Agents.
Other ways to support your PTFA are by using The Giving Machine; Gift aiding; spreading the word that Winkworth’s donate when a house is sold if recommended by a parent. For more information about all our fundraisers click here.
Every student benefits from the funds raised by the PTFA.
Recent money raised has been used for projects such as
• the canopy outside the canteen.
• sound system in the rebuilt hall.
• refurbishing the smaller gym with equipment.
• sponsoring Year 11 on their prom night.
• support of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
• drums for the music department.
